Research Interests
Our research concerns the software side of embedded systems, which are characterized by their limited visibility, autonomous operation, real-time activities and constrained resources making software design, implementation, and analysis a challenging and fun (!) task.
Currently, the ES group focuses on two themes:
- Wireless Sensor Networks (prof. Langendoen)
- Model-Based Fault Diagnosis (prof. van Gemund)
Running Projects
- Free (True-wireless mesh networks for transport and logistics)
- Darjeeling (An open-source VM for microcontrollers)
- ALwEN (Ambient Living with Embedded Networks)
- Wisebed (Wireless Sensor Network Testbeds)
- CONET (Cooperating Objects Network of Excellence)
- Lydia (Model-Based Systems Fault Diagnosis)
- Poseidon (Testing of Maritime Safety and Security Information Systems)
- Finesse (Fault Diagnosis for Embedded Systems Dependability)
- Trader (work package: Fault Diagnosis and Reliability Modeling of Philips Digital TVs)
Completed Projects
- Smart Surroundings (2004 - 2009)
Group Seminar
