Research Interests

Our research concerns the software side of embedded systems, which are characterized by their limited visibility, autonomous operation, real-time activities and constrained resources making software design, implementation, and analysis a challenging and fun (!) task.

Currently, the ES group focuses on two themes:

Running Projects

  • Free (True-wireless mesh networks for transport and logistics)
  • Darjeeling (An open-source VM for microcontrollers)
  • ALwEN (Ambient Living with Embedded Networks)
  • Wisebed (Wireless Sensor Network Testbeds)
  • CONET (Cooperating Objects Network of Excellence)
  • Lydia (Model-Based Systems Fault Diagnosis)
  • Poseidon (Testing of Maritime Safety and Security Information Systems)
  • Finesse (Fault Diagnosis for Embedded Systems Dependability)
  • Trader (work package: Fault Diagnosis and Reliability Modeling of Philips Digital TVs)
